After more than two years working on this we are launching next week the brand new ASEL-TECH ACOUSTIC PIPELINE LEAK DETECTION & LOCATION TECHNOLOGY, the MARC ONE, requiring less hardware than the SLDS/ILDS, keeping the same performance and priced around at least 30% less! This is a perfect solution for very long pipelines, when the price could be 50% less than the SLDS / ILDS!

All this new LDS requires is an optic fiber cable installed beside the pipeline.
We developed a new concept, eliminating the intermediates FPU's, processing part of the algorithms in the new sensors and having all information transmitted through the optic fiber to the main FPU in the control room. All features of the SLDS/ILDS remain in the new MARC ONE, except the capability to keep until ten spill alarms in the memory in case of communication failure. This characteristic can be compensated by a "communication failure alarm" in the control room and the operator can provide actions to fix the problem. Anyway, if this characteristic is required by the customer it is possible to solve with an additional pair of optic fiber.
The big differentials are LESS FPU'S AND CONSEQUENTILY LESS PANELS, HOUSES, COMMUNICATIONS TOWERS (FOR RADIOS), ENERGY SOURCES, CONSTRUCTIONS, EQUIPMENT EXPOSITION IN THE FIELD, ELECTRICAL CABLES AND CALHAS AND, OF COURSE, INSTALLATIONS COSTS and COMMISSIONING.
For existing pipelines having an optic fiber cable or new pipelines with optic fiber cable this LDS will be unbeatable! NO other LDS can compete in performance and price!
